The story of Bridgestone began 90 years ago in the Japanese city Kurume. The Bridgestone founder, Shojiro Ishibashi, quickly understood that tires would be a very profitable business in the future, so in 1931 he established the tire company. When the question of naming the organization appeared, Shojiro Ishibashi decided to use the English translation of his surname – Bridgestone (Ishi means "stone", and bashi means "bridge").

With the development of the tire segment in Japan, Bridgestone grew. Very quickly, it became the top tire maker in its native country. Soon Bridgestone wanted to become bigger, so it started to cover more and more territories. Firstly, it expanded to Asia, and in the 1980s, it appeared on the American market by purchasing the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. Nowadays, Bridgestone is a famous worldwide company, which provides the highest standards, services and technologies.

The first standard that Bridgestone cares for is the quality of its tires. That's why the company chooses only the best materials and the best manufacturing technologies. Before launching on the market, all tires go through serious testing on the so-called "Ultimate Eye". This internal testing aims to check the indicators like how much noise and grip the tires make and how stable they are. This testing is not final – after that, the tires go through the track testing, where the comfort and ability to make turns are measured.

The Japanese company produces several tire lines that can satisfy all drivers' needs. For example, the Ecopia line includes the energy-saving tires made to resist the low rolling greatly. Besides, this line's tires come with the polymer technology named NanoPro-Tech, which reduces fuel loss for rolling improvement. The Ecopia tires are ecologically friendly – the tires limit carbon dioxide emissions making. This way, Bridgestone makes its contributions to global warming.

The Turanza line is all-season tires, which provide the drivers with comfortable and protective riding. These tires' cornerstone is the polymer and nano pro technologies with a cavity in the asymmetric shape. The Turanza line is also known as the most silent Bridgestone tires – they have the top technology of noise reduction that no other tires have.

In case you ride on the complicated winter roads, you need to choose the tires of the Blizzak line. They contain nano pro-tech polymers, multi-cell tubes, and 3D ZigZagSipes that help provide versatility, grip and bite in the coldest winter conditions. Even when the weather is cold and dry and the surfaces aren't covered with moisture, you will get excellent handling with the Blizzak tires. So if having these tires on your vehicle, you can easily manage every winter road.

For high-class vehicles, Bridgestone offers the Potenza line tires. They come with an intense center and supporting stiff ribs, which improve the vehicle handling and steering reaction. This line's tires also have extra grooves causing a lateral grip when you make turns at high speeds. The Potenza tires are created for those who want to get the highest motorsport peak. These tires provide excellent productivity when driving dry and wet surfaces.
