The story of Michelin dates back to the end of the 19th century. One day, the bike rider came to the Michelin founders' rubber firm, Édouard and André Michelin, to repair his tire. It was matched to the rim by glue, and after three hours of repairing, it had to dry and then pass testing. When Édouard Michelin took it, the tire fell off after several hundred meters of passing. But this fact did not upset Édouard Michelin - together with his brother André, he started making their tire variant (they did not want their tires to be matched to the rim by glue). So in 1888, they established Michelin Tire Company.

Michelin provides its activity in three main fields. The first is automotive field - it includes automotive business-to-clients world and regional trademarks, original equipment, and mobility experience. The second field is road transportation. It consists of such segments as transportation over large distances, transportation in cities and segment of services + solutions. The third field of activity is specialty business. It includes the segments of mining, transportation on off-highway, producing materials for two-wheel vehicles and aircraft.

The French tire manufacturer creates tires for different transport types - cars, SUVs, minivans, crossovers, light pickup trucks, sports high-productivity and touring cars. The list includes three main trademarks - Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal.

Michelin is a tire maker, which constantly works on sustainable mobility enhancement. That's why the company selects for its tires all the right and long-lasting components, and before launching on the market, all the tires go through strict testing. Every year the tire producer provides a 1.1 billion miles testing on the durability and wear resistance in different temperatures. The company also provides tire testing at speeds of up to 280mph to be sure the tires will satisfy all the requirements.

For many drivers, the other important thing about the tires is that they must not produce a lot of noise. And Michelin works a lot on it. The French company created the special technology, Michelin Acoustic, to reduce the tires sounds to 20%. It jams the car's vibrations via a special polyurethane foam solution. This technology makes driving more enjoyable and relaxed.

To increase the tires handling, Michelin implemented several technologies. For instance, Helio+. It includes a sunflower with a silica gel-infused compound in the tread, enhancing the handling on slippery and wet surfaces.

BFGoodrich is a famous American tire producer that's been in the industry for over 100 years. Its tires have passed various testing in several of the most complicated road conditions. The tires made by BFGoodrich are used in almost all kinds of racings we can imagine. Having these high-productivity tires on your car, be sure that you'll get pleasure from driving, no matter what type of road you will drive.

Let's take the Michelin's Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires, for example. The fifth variant of these tires comes with more advanced 5% mud traction than their precursor. On the shoulders, there are Mud-Phobic bars, which unload compacted mud to make bigger traction in various types of soil. In the tread's Terrain-Attack pattern, there are large blocks that provide impressive grip from any angle. What is more, the Michelin's Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires have the brand-new Krawl-TEK compound providing great rock traction, which make better grip on rock roads.

The American brand Uniroyal produces budget-friendly tires for various vehicle types (pickup trucks, SUVs, sedans, minivans and others) that you can drive during the whole year. When making tires, the company follows the next standards – providing excellent handling and durability. The Uniroyal tires contain treads with wide circumferential grooves with sipes that move out water from the footprint and improve productivity when driving on wet roads. The winter tires have more integrated biting edges, which provide bigger traction on icy and slush surfaces. So with these tires, don't be scared to drive any road – they won't let you lose control.

The other high standard of the Uniroyal tires is their durability. All the tires have the most robust construction (twin steel belts strengthened by a nylon cap). Such construction provides the tires' long-lasting and consistent great impression when driving at high speeds.
